The blade for this Tanto is made from canister Damascus containing 52100 ball bearings, 4600 KC powder, 1095 powder and pure nickle sheets. The spine is decorated with fancy file work and the heel of the blade sports a Spanish notch. The overall length of the knife is 415mm including the finial nut. This hunting/camping knife has a blade made from W-1 high carbon tool steel. The blade has had clay applied before hardening to bring out a beautiful Hamon in the steel. This Japanese style hybrid Tanto has a blade made from layered Shiro 2 Hitachi white paper steel. The blade has been acid etched which brings out its dark core and lighter outer layers. The blade for this Bowie is made from a random pattern Damascus steel. It has a blade length of 236mm, is 49mm wide at the start of the clip, is 6mm thick on the spine and has an overall length of 400mm. The spine has fancy file work running from the ricasso to the start of the false clip and the Damascus blade is made from 220 layers of 1075, 15N20 and pure nickel. The blade for this stainless carbon san mai vest Bowie is 150mm long and a tad over 5mm thick on the spine, it has a core of 80Cr V2 which has been laminated with Hitachi Shiro 2 and outer layers of 431 stainless. I'm really pleased how the carbon in the stainless has migrated into the Shiro 2 layers.
